1 trip to Zuluk
Overview
Zuluk is a small hamlet at 2,870 m in East Sikkim, sitting on the historic Tibet-India Silk Route that once ran from Lhasa to Kalimpong. The road approaching the village from below — known as the 32-hairpin road or 'Zuluk Loops' — is the area's signature image. From Thambi Viewpoint at 3,353 m, the entire range from Kanchenjunga to Bhutan's eastern peaks is visible at sunrise on clear winter days. Lungthung, Nathang Valley, Eagle's Nest Bunker and Old Baba Mandir are visited as part of the standard 2–3 day Silk Route loop. Accommodation is homestay-only (no hotels); permits are required as this is a restricted border area.
