About this day

Ek Gothey is a trail inside Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, on the road above Gangtok towards Tsomgo. The drive takes about forty minutes each way. From the sanctuary gate a local trekking guide walks the trail with you — about an hour up, an hour at the top, and an hour back down. Three hours on the hill, and a little over four and a half hours door to door. The protected area permit is arranged for you, which is why we ask for names and ID when you book. Carry the originals with you on the day. The trail is open all year and closes only for heavy snow. If the weather turns, the day is moved or refunded in full. The car, the driver, the guide, the permit, parking and park entry are all included. Lunch is not.
