About this trip
Start from Gangtok and travel south through the tea slopes of Temi to the Char Dham temple complex at Namchi, reaching Ravangla in the evening. Where most trips push straight on to Pelling the same night, this one stops — the first night is in Ravangla. The next morning begins at Buddha Park in Ravangla, unhurried, before the drive west to Pelling. The third day is given entirely to Pelling: Pemayangtse and Sangachoeling monasteries, the Rabdentse Ruins, the Skywalk and ropeway, Khecheopalri Lake, the Rimbi and Kanchenjunga waterfalls and the orange garden. On the fourth day, after breakfast and check-out, you travel on to your chosen drop-off point — Bagdogra Airport, NJP, Darjeeling or Kalimpong. Hotels and meals are not included. The car, driver and fuel are yours for all four days.
